Manly Marks was born out of a love for craftsmanship, hard work, and heritage aimed to equip men with timeless paper goods. It began as a successfully funded project on Kickstarter and resulted in a handmade letterpress book on manliness. In addition to the book, it has grown to include an official man-card, correspondence cards, inspirational prints, and custom letterpress stationery.

The book
Throughout generations, masculinity has been defined by many things like courage, beard growing, and the knowledge of knot tying. The book serves as an illustrated catalog of 25 of the most enduring tenets. In the spirit of manliness, each book is designed, printed, and bound by hand.
Where it started
Launched in 2013 on Kickstarter, Manly Marks set out to use letterpress as a vehicle to spread manliness through printed goods. Thanks to a strong pitch video, mock-ups of what the finished book would be, and featured as a “Staff Pick” on Kickstarter, the project went on to exceed its funding goal.
